Good variety of betting lines, reliable company with good customer service; fast payouts

Website feels old school, live chat crawls; low betting limits; modest bonus

If you don’t need any frills, Ladbrokes is a good place to play. Think of it as a medium, non-descript casino in Vegas: they’ll take some small bets, present some live betting and show you a good time. For many bettors, that’s adequate but if you want something fancier (nicer site and bigger limits) you’ll might want to opt for someone else.

About Ladbrokes Sportsbook

Ladbrokes is a decent shop from the U.K. Most people might tab it as a mid-tier book but we’d rate it slightly higher. Excellent customer service and fast payouts are always the foundation of a sportsbook we’ll recommend and with a decent mobile website and good variety, Ladbrokes is a solid spot. You’ll definitely notice it’s a step behind the offerings of some of the U.K. big boys, but if Ladbrokes suits your needs then use it knowing you can deposit comfortably and have a good experience.

What’s Their Reputation?

Ladbrokes is a book from the U.K. with an excellent reputation as far as customer service and payouts go. In that respect, you’ll hardly find anyone dissing Ladbrokes as they have a pristine history of timely – and quite fast – payouts and good customer service.

Some people knock them down a peg because of their website is old school and that they have low limits, but truth be told a number of books can lower your limit at any point if they feel like it.

Overall, they are a very reputable book in the game these days.

Who Bets At Ladbrokes?

Ladbrokes is definitely for recreational players as several players have complained about them lowering limits on anyone who looks like a serious bettor.

They’re goal is to create a fun place where people come and lose a little bit of money in doing so and they definitely want nothing to do with the sharps and their smart action.

How Is Their Customer Service?

As long as you don’t include the low betting limit saga, Ladbrokes does have good customer service. They have a tendency to lower betting limits on players who are a little too successful, which is a polite way of saying “find a different place to play”.

To be honest, it doesn’t bother us as much because this is common practice in comparable recreational books in this tier and if you’re a sharp looking to bet professionally, you’d be well aware of this. So really, for the casual crowd, this likely won’t be much of an issue.

As far as the rest of their customer service, we can say it’s the highlight of the company. They have numerous methods of withdrawal that are free and they’re payouts are quite fast. They list the processing time for a Neteller, Moneybookers or ClickandBuy withdrawal at a minimum of six hours, which is quite impressive.

Any time we have fast, secure access to our money, we’ll be happy.

How Easy Is It To Place A Bet On Their Website?

Betting at Ladbrokes is a clean, easy process. You’ll find the categories of sports on the left side, then the lines will refresh in the middle and you simply point and click to add to your ticket. Once your slip is filled up, you confirm in the top right.

It is worth noting that they do have a mobile betting website to make your life much easier if you’re a smartphone user.

Reviewing The Rest Of The Ladbrokes Website

Ladbrokes has a simple website but it does feel bit clunky and outdated for our liking.

There’s really not a whole lot going on aside from taking bets, which is normal and we don’t take issue with that. But they do have a decent portal of sports articles, which you would think would make sense to feature, but instead it’s buried on the bottom right-hand side of the sight.

One of the main pictures we saw on the site when first landing is a picture of Kyle Orton playing for the Denver Broncos. It’s not exactly the most outdated picture, but they could have picked someone a little more successful because we definitely don’t associate many good things with Kyle Orton.

Another minor observations is that while they do have a useful trio of videos (again, hard to find) showing you around their site, we found it somewhat comical that the videos were shot in around the times of Windows XP (the window frames in the video appeared to have the Windows 97 styling), and while it’s a minor note, it doesn’t give that freshness feel if you know what we’re saying.

Once you do click into the sports section, the site does feel much more advanced. There is capable live betting and a clean layout of lines, upcoming events and a cool widget with their financials betting. All of those things are positives.

Really, just some better organization and some better choices can easily avoid the timestamps that make this site feel outdated. That’s was our first impression and as we all know, those are hard to change.

Betting Variety

Ladbrokes has your typical U.K. betting variety, which means you’ll have plenty of options to keep you busy. Being a European book, you’ll get some off-the-cuff options like speedway, snooker and virtual greyhounds, just in case you get lonely on a Tuesday night.

They even going beyond the norm with some exotic props on auctions (Paul McCartney's Drummer Letter”) and Christmas props (top selling video game over Christmas).

As far as the normal lines, they’ve got the major North American sports and soccer covered from top to bottom. They’ve even mixed in some live betting as well, which obviously adds to the experience.

There is plenty to like here as far as variety goes.
