The Good: Site looks snazzy; 50% welcome bonus; modest VIP program
The Bad: Nice-sized bonus is a red flag; awful payouts track record; hordes of players complaining about extended payout times or payouts not even reaching their destination
The Verdict: TopBet might get better in the future – hey, maybe Mel Gibson will get his career back on track in the future – but as of right now, this is a stay away. We can only deal with the present and not guess about what might happen in the future. Don’t play with fire; deposit your money elsewhere.
About TopBet Sportsbook
TopBet is a sportsbook that you have to keep an eye on. They have been throttled with a slew of complaints regarding slow payouts and no payouts. At this point, there is no good reason to deposit here. There are claims that new management is taking over and there is a transition period, but at this point we are skeptical and can’t recommend this sportsbook in good faith.
How To Contact TopBet
What’s Their Reputation?
TopBet has one of the worst reputations in the game right now. They are having payout problems and that supersedes everything else. If you can’t get your money, then you can’t trust the book.
Who Bets At TopBet?
At this point, it’s solely misinformed people. Surprisingly, it is a book that is blindly recommended by some other bettors/sites, but each person’s experience could be different. After all, unless you are a winning bettor, you might never realize that the sportsbook won’t pay you out because you keep on losing.
In our experience, it’s not a trustworthy book at this point, so to bet there means not enough research was done.
How Is Their Customer Service?
We’ve been emphasizing the poor payouts by TopBet, so at this point there really isn’t much else we need to say about their customer service. There is no bigger display of poor customer service than to accept deposits but not execute payouts.
Of note, TopBet’s phone service is only open from 9:00 am ET to 11:00 pm ET, and there is no live chat customer service.
How Easy Is It To Place A Bet On Their Website?
Placing a bet at TopBet isn’t complicated, but if we had one request it would be that their color scheme was better used so that we can discern where to look.
Placing an NFL bet was easy to start. Finding the lines, selecting the side, etc. But after adding a bet to the slip, it got tricky to differentiate what all of the additional information was.
This sportsbook looks very similar to Sportsbook.ag, which means the colors are black, dark grey, yellow, pale yellow and white. The latter three are the colors that clash and make it tricky to find what you’re looking for.
Realistically, this is a problem that will only bother you the first couple of times because after that, you’ll know exactly where to look but most other sportsbooks just color code things a bit better for where your eyes need to jump.
Methods of Betting
Reviewing The Rest Of The TopBet Website
TopBet’s website is all business as they don’t have a whole lot of other things going on outside of betting.
They do have a misleading “live lines” page, which takes you to their basic odds but it’s definitely not live betting.
Beyond that, all they really have is a score/stats section powered by Chalk Sports, which is a nice touch but standing on its own, it looks pretty lonely.
TopBet is a sportsbook that services Americans and they do a good job with their lines covering all of the sports that their clientele will be looking for.
Their main focuses are football (NFL and NCAAF), hockey, basketball, baseball golf and MMA. They do have a light sprinkling of European flavor with soccer, cricket and rugby.
NFL Games: $2000
NBA Games: $1000
NHL Games: $1000
MLB Games: $1000
What Type Of VIP Program/Loyalty Program Is Offered?
TopBet does have a VIP program where you college bonus points based on the amount of betting you are doing. It’s pretty much modeled on the land-based casinos you’d find in Las Vegas or anywhere else.
Once you collect the points, you can then use them for different rewards and prizes, which at this point and time only looks like cash back. 95,000 points gets you $40 cash, 50,000 gets you $20 and 15,000 gets you a whopping $5.
What Type Of Bonus & Rebate Program Is Offered?
TopBet gives you a 50% bonus on your initial deposit with the maximum bonus being capped at $250. The rollover is only five times, which seems is low for a bonus as high as this. It does look like another red flag as we’ve seen smaller bonuses with bigger rollovers tied to them.
